Wisconsin Bratwurst ("Brats")

 

Handcrafted in Madison, Wisconsin, by authentic German sausage makers. All are precooked and ready to grill or simmer in beer.

Storing: Bratwurst sausages are shipped frozen. Before cooking, thaw the desired number of brats overnight in your refrigerator.

Grill: Place brats on grill about 7" to 9" above the heat source. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes, turning them frequently. Use tongs rather than a fork to prevent juices from escaping.

Stovetop: Place brats in a pan, add 1" to 2" of beer and cover. Simmer on low heat, about 10 minutes, turning links often, then brown them by draining the remaining beer away. Remove the cover and heat them on medium heat until browned to your liking.

Microwave: Remove brats from pack and place in a microwave-safe dish. Add beer to cover links. Cover the dish, heat on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Turn brats and heat for another 1 to 2 minutes. Let stand approximately 2 minutes before serving.
